LOTTO PLAYS COMMENTARY FOR GOOG
LAST UPDATE: 4/18/11
4/18/11 - Target zone one has been reached and if the rest of earnings announcements from companies like: AAPL, NFLX, GE, BIDU etc. are disappointing, I believe GOOG, along with the markets will continue to slide down.
==========================================================================
4/15/11 - BAGGED another whale of a profit!!!! Google did not make the numbers and the stock was taken to the woodshed for a very punishing drop after hours and into the entire trading day today. This is looking ripe for some more profit pickings heading into next week too.
Here is how the action played out:
Today's trading:
HUGE PROFITS ON PUT$!
Pre Market 4/15/11
After earnings were reported—cha CHING TOMORROW!!!
Here are the options prices for the close before earnings were reported.
===============================================================================================
Google is reporting earnings tomorrow and true to form, options are expiring on Friday. This stock has given me 4 awesome LOTTO WINNERS in the past and this time it could very well do it again. If you have the stomach to handle a total loss, then the PUTS have always paid off HUGE compared to the calls. Remember, if the play does not work out, then all monies you put up are guaranteed to be lost so if you want to play it safer, you can straddle with calls and get the puts paid back should the stock take off. This time, I am not liking this chart. There are several gaps going back a year and GOOG has been moving in a downward direction since Jan. I know for a fact that one day this loved company will miss in a big way and I will be there with my deep out of the money PUTS to bag my whale of a profits check! Until that day comes, I will just keep catching lots of lotto fish along the way.
Typically GOOG moves on average 10% to the upside when earnings are better than expected. So far, we have had a double bottom on the last massive gap up Last October. If you look close, you can see GOOG has been sticking very close to its 200 day moving average indicating to me it's getting tired, so unless this report is wall above estimates, I think it will be a "sell the news" event. Now if they miss, I expect the stock to be severely sold off over the next couple of months. My first targets are $500 on puts and $650 on calls for options three months out.
