CMG
4/24/12 - The selling just keep on rolling down the road, but today, I feel its about to end. AAPL beat earnings, and although they have nothing to do with CMG, the euphoria will no doubt lift the tide thus, all ships will rise. Historically CMG has sold off 2 - 3 days before resuming its ride up. There was a downgrade from Credit Suisse to a neutral, but that means to me, Buy Buy Buy!. In fact, CMG is up in after hours today. The talking heads are stepping on the tail of the bandwagon and suggesting its still a short so watch the action around $400 and be sure to buy extra time if you go long. — Time to take profits off the table. Time to take profits tomorrow. =========================================================================================== 4/19/12 - CMG beat estimates and had a surge in revenue. Stock traded higher in after hours but trailed off as the conference call began. So far, no big jump in price indicating a possible sell the news event tomorrow. I am holding a straddle on this one and with some luck in the market, we could get a nice day tomorrow. If they head higher, I will be on the calls pronto!
=================================================================================== 4/18/12 - CMG has been on quite the rocket ride for some time now. Can you believe this stock has risen in price for 17 straight weeks? This could be the week it finally puts in a red bar day. Earnings are going to be announced tomorrow after the bell and so far, the weekly chart is looking like it wants to head lower, but with momentum like this, you just never know. Looking over CMG, the chart is starting to put in some chop, but I have seen this before and if they beat, well, the will beat the snot out of shorts. Historically the stock has sold off after earnings and since we are in the "sell in May and go away" mode, this very well could be the one to short. I will be looking over the options tomorrow and hope I get a White Whale on Friday.
